I thought I’d follow up on the last post,with a little idea on how to start getting in touch – not just with the mind, but with emotions and sensations – with stomach discomfort.
Draw your stomach …. white paper and colors, pencil, felt, wax, whatever you want.
The drawings can be abstract or more concrete, with or without writing … whatever comes.
Drawing bypasses the conscious mind and speaks the language of sensations and the body where our memories and emotions are held.
Often drawing leads to the release of emotions, and if this is your case, allows what is there to come out. Other times they surprise us by leading to some new awareness.
Once the drawing is finished, you can choose to keep it or burn it.
